You need to understand the importance of having the right mental attitude when trying to achieve success in any aspect of your life. Whether that be financial, relationships, health or any other aspect.
Have you ever noticed that some people seem to have everything go right for them in life, (like everything they touch turns to gold) experiencing the joy of living life to its fullest. Then there are others who continually lose out consistently and fail to achieve the success that they truly deserve?
Success is achieved not only by staying focused and working your butt off to achieve a certain goal, but it also requires a positive mindset. It is the one common trait that all of the most successful people in the world have.
Now I’m sure you’ve heard of the law of attraction! It simply means what you focus on the most, is what you attract and manifest in your life. The more repetitive a conscious thought is, the more it gets reinforced into your subconscious mind. Anything in your subconscious mind is then attracted and manifested in your life. Your life is what you think about the most!
If your thoughts are continuously positive then you generally attract positive things into your life. If your thoughts are negative then you attract negative things.
I read a lot of books and listen to plenty of audio recordings from motivational experts and there is a great daily ritual that I learned from Tony Robbins that I thought I would share with you. Tony calls it an ‘Hour of Power’. It something you should try to do for an hour a day, but in reality you can do it for 30 minutes or even 15 minutes if you’re strapped for time. You do it while you are exercising and it is even better if you do it first thing in the morning. Now whether it’s an hour, 30 minutes or 15 minutes, you divide the time into 3 equal parts.
The first segment of time, you just breathe in 4 times quickly through the nose then out 4 times quickly though the mouth and stay focused on your breathing. Keep repeating this process for the entire time. It really makes you think clearly and helps you focus.
The second segment of time you simply get grateful and thankful for all the positive things in your life. You can think of anything that you are grateful for like your family, friends, your house, job whatever you want. Stay in this for the entire segment of time.
The third segment of time you just visualize what you want to happen in the future. You picture it in your mind and feel the feelings associated with it as if it has already happened. You can even be thankful for it in advance. Eg ‘I am so thankful that the business deal has come together’ or ‘I am so thankful that I have now lost 20lbs’.
So if you do this for 1hour the 3 segments are 20 minutes each. For 30 minutes it would be 10 minutes per segment and for 15 minutes it would be 5 minutes per segment.
Do this for at least 5 days a week. The more days the better.
It will literally make you feel instantly better and focused but also reinforce those thoughts into your subconscious mind, hence setting it up to manifest in your life in the future.
I do this ritual to train my mind about 5 days a week whilst either walking, jogging or cycling. I find its an awesome way to train your mind. And it works!
